Do you think of anybody when you create portraits of this type? I’ve always presumed they were made up as you go along.

Yes, you are right. Colors is where I start and I keep adding elements to it. I usually don’t have the full picture in mind when I start. This one is mostly inspired by the Rajasthani men whom I saw during my travels. They wear such amazing colorful turbans. I just love those ๐
