I am tired of sketching on paper which keeps blotting. Going digital for a while or until I start missing painting. I only have a couple of pages left in my drawing book so I want to use them wisely 🙂

“An obstacle is often an unrecognized opportunity” – Robert South

May Ganesha help with all the obstacles we face. Last day of the first phase of the lockdown. We are still going to be on lockdown until May 3rd. I am running out of paper. Let me see what else I can do further. Do I have to become totally digital? My digital skills are still rough as you can see above. Maybe this is an opportunity to learn Photoshop properly.

I am getting a hang of doodling, amazingly I find it very therapeutic and I can concentrate or focus for long.

Happy Doodling …Happy Blogging !!!

“..If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way” – Napolean Hill

Drawing in sketchbooks has never been my thing, when I start drawing or coloring, things just get out of proportion. But these days with my busy office schedule I don’t get the conviction enough to finish huge projects hence trying to teach myself to draw small. A drawing book which I can probably carry with myself as well. Wouldn’t that be nice !!!

We went to Bali, Indonesia for vacation. This island is a feast for the body, mind and spirit. It is so full of ancient and modern art, be it paintings or sculptures or beautiful and colourful dresses. I would say every art lover should visit this place atleast once.

Enjoyed using SketchBook  Pro, a very light and handy tool.

And now, the inspiration for this art comes from the two naughty squirrels who climb down the coconut tree in my house into my balcony, and steal the crunchy bread crumbs that my pet loves. They also got used to the granola bars that I feed them occasionally, so the situation now is that they don’t touch the nuts and fruits I leave for them but they wait till I get my granola bars out. HOW ANNOYINGLY ADORABLE !!!

Digital Art

Digital Art

My first digital art, I have used Illustrator and Photoshop to accomplish this. As much as I am content with the outcome, I am also dissatisfied with the amount of time it took for me put this thing together in Illustrator because of its slow performance. I still don’t know if I am done with this artwork or did I just abandon it !!!

I think I’ll just stick to Photoshop and try Sketchbook for my next work.
