The name a person bears through life is something he or she must carry, and it is sometimes the only thing others have to judge you by before they meet you. Your name travels ahead of you like a portent of things to come, a thing from which others make assumptions about you. Are these assumptions always fair or accurate? Of course not, but people continue to make assumptions, regardless.

That is a strange story about the terrorist but not an untypical one about the European Human Rights Act which many here see as a criminals’ charter. It was quite a strong reason for many people, including myself, to vote to leave the EC. Have you ever seen old photos of that sign where it used to read “Hollywoodland”?

Oh … I didn’t even know it was called that, I will google and check if I can find that. I took this picture while hiking the Griffith Observatory. Makes me nostalgic every time I see it.
I found the terrorist story shocking and unbelievable. Whom are we trying to protect by these Human Rights!!!
